Coffee Morning Blog

FRIDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2025
Today, our coffee morning was such fun. In spite of the bus diversion members made the effort to attend. We also had a couple of new attendees.
As usual we had a variety of sandwiches and side salad, a lovely platter of fresh fruits, with the added touch of strawberries and raspberries courtesy of one of the members.
Today we did not have our fitness instructor but quess what?! Victor and Yvette filled in and all had a wonderful time, getting in a bit of cardio.
The morning was topped off with a talk from two quest speakers from DWP sharing information on work place adjustments and how to claim relevant benefits.
I must say, no two coffee mornings are the same, today there was much fun with the bingo when folks excitedly shouted “BINGO” only to find the number was not actually called.
Another element to today, one member brought in some lovely homegrown gala apples and another tomatoes. It was lovely to share these among members and to see folks going off with little parcels of fruit and vegetables. The rain which came down later did not dampen our spirit!
